Following his arrest back in February for possession of child porn, former LA City Commissioner Al Abrams claimed that his supposed sudden predilection towards naked children was due to a tumor growing on his spine. The only problem was that his nine month old tumor couldn’t have possibly been to blame for the decade of child porn he had accumulated on his computer. Word just came out that he finally reached a plea bargain.
As part of the plea agreement, Abrams fessed to having collected child porn for over ten years. According to documents, the images were of children under the age of 12, including infants, who were engaged in sexually explicit conduct or “sadistic or masochistic activity.”
In exchange for pleading guilty, it’s being recommended that Abrams receive a sentence of five to eight years, a fine of $5,000 and supervised release for his life. He’ll have to register as a sex offender and have limited access to both the internet as well as anyone under the age of 18.
Abrams did not speak on his own behalf during the hearing and will remain free on bail until the sentencing hearing.
No word on how much, if any, time the tumor will have to do.
